Our mission

Mission of the Society

The Society brings together those engaged in scientific research on stroke – brain damage caused by disorders of cerebral circulation – and in its prevention, treatment and the rehabilitation of patients, in order to promote:

• the coordination of their research, preventive, curative and rehabilitation work, and an organised national effort against the spreading burden of stroke;
• recognition befitting the importance of the fight against stroke;
• the exchange of international and Hungarian research results through its own conferences, meetings and reports;
• the continuing education of those involved in stroke care;
• the development of a national network of equipment;
• public cooperation through awareness-raising and health education.
